Our Heavenly Father wanted the Israelites to know that He was their God. “So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day forward.” (Ezekiel 39:22) And He has prepared a place for His faithful. “But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.” (Hebrews 11:16)
