The Lord wanted His people the Israelites to be close to Him. “If you will return, O Israel,” says the LORD, “Return to Me” (Jeremiah 4:1) He wants the same for us today. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:8) He is always there with blessings that are unmeasureable if we will just follow His word.
