2023 Day 160 – Proverbs 19-21
Decisions made without good information to back them up can get us into trouble. “Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way.” (Proverbs 19:2) We can gain the knowledge we need for the most important things in our life from only one place. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17) If we diligently study His Word with an open heart, it will change our lives. “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12) God knew that we would suffer trials and struggle sometimes so He made sure that His words were preserved for our benefit. “For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” (Romans 15:4)
