According to the Psalmist there are things that God provides for those who live righteously.  “Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.” (Psalms 97:11)  Peter tells us that this joy we have with Christ is beyond description.  “Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter 1:8-9)  If we are living for Him, this joy will be part of the fruit that is produced in our life.  “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)
