2023 Day 1 – Genesis 1-3

2023 Day 1 – Genesis 1-3

Do you have any resolutions for 2023? Would you like to be a person who is complete and thoroughly equipped for everything in this life? Here is how to accomplish that feat. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV) Notice he says “All Scripture”. God intended for us to study every bit of His Word that he has preserved for us. If we are waiting on someone else to teach us the entire Bible, it will never happen if for no other reason than there will never be enough time. We must strive to study His Word for ourselves and look for how it applies in our daily walk. Why not start a good habit today of reading your Bible daily? I would also suggest that each time as you begin your reading, say a short prayer asking for God’s guidance in helping you to understand and apply His word as He wills for you to do.

We will be reading the Bible thru chronologically again this year. Each day I will post a few words about the Scripture along with the chapters to read for the day. Some days the readings are easier than others, but I encourage you to stick with it. As we read yesterday in our final passage for 2022, our eternal destiny depends on us knowing and obeying His Word. “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.” (Revelation 22:14) We would love for you to follow along reading with us. Please share this post with others that you think might be interested as well.
