You have probably already heard enough year 2020 to eyesight comparisons by now, but here is one more for you. 20/20 is often referred to as “perfect vision”. It actually means at 20 feet you are able to see what a normal person can see at 20 feet, so it is possible to have better than 20/20 vision. The best recorded vision in humans is 20/10 meaning that person can see at 20 feet what normal folks see at 10 feet away. But to have the very best “vision” for this life and eternity, we should do what Hebrews 12:2 tells us and fix our eyes on Jesus.
Hebrews 12:1-2 NASB (1) Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, (2) fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For this year’s daily reading I will be using the schedule provided by World Video Bible School https://video.wvbs.org/access/interactive-bible-reading-plan/ Their schedule includes an extra passage of scripture from either Psalms or Proverbs each day. They also have supplemental videos for some of the passages.
