2020 Day 88 – Hebrews 12-13 and Psalms 88

There are many things in this life to be thankful for and the opportunity to be part of God’s kingdom is up there with the greatest of them.  “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:28-29)  Jesus compared the kingdom to a treasure.  “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” (Matthew 13:44)  Jesus also told us if we have the right goals, everything else will fall into place.  “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
