2020 Day 39 – John 18-21 and Psalms 39

Not long before Jesus was crucified, Pilate asked Him if He was King of the Jews.  Jesus answered, ‘My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.’” (John 18:36)  God’s word provides us with knowledge of the kingdom that Jesus was referring to.  “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” (Colossians 1:12)  Peter tells us about the way into the Kingdom.  “For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 1:11)
